Tulsa to host LSU in Cotton Bowl for first time since 2006

The Tulsa Roughnecks will face the LSU Tigers for the first time in the Cotton Bowl since 2006, a source with direct knowledge of the deal told ABC News.

The source told ABC that the decision was made late last week, but the game was scheduled for a Dec. 3 matchup against Oklahoma State.

It is the first meeting between the two schools since 2006.

The game will be the first of four Cotton Bowl matchups between the rival teams.

Tulsa defeated LSU 38-28 in the 2006 Cotton Bowl.
