How to watch Auburn football: schedule, play times, championship games

When the Auburn football team visits Texas for the SEC championship on Feb. 15, it will play eight home games.

Its first game is at Houston’s NRG Stadium against No. 12 Texas Tech.

Then it travels to Lubbock to face No. 13 Ole Miss on Jan. 14.

It also visits Arkansas State and Texas A&M in the season opener, the Texas Bowl on Feb, 15.

The Tigers are a two-time national champion, but haven’t won a conference title since 2012.

They are the only team in the SEC to have won two SEC titles.

The Texas-based team is led by defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli, who won his first SEC title at Texas in 2007.

The Longhorns have a 6-3 record against the Tigers, who are 6-5 overall and 3-6 in the Big 12 Conference.

Texas’ offense is led more by the defensive line than the offensive line.

The line allowed 1,735 yards of total offense and 38 touchdowns last season, the fourth-lowest total in the league behind Alabama, Tennessee and LSU.

But the line also had a whopping 17 sacks.

The Tigers’ best offensive playmaker, receiver T.J. Yeldon, is entering his junior year.

The offense is loaded with weapons, too.

Senior running back Tre Mason, a four-star recruit, was named to the All-SEC second team in 2016.

He rushed for 1,918 yards and 16 touchdowns last year, his first in the NFL.

Freshman wide receiver Amari Cooper also is a star.
