NFL: Browns quarterback Josh McCown to miss Sunday’s game against Browns

Browns quarterback Sam Bradford is expected to miss his second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury.

The team announced Monday that McCown, who is on injured reserve, will miss the Browns game Sunday at Miami.

Bradford did not practice Monday.

He suffered the injury Sunday at Indianapolis.

McCown has thrown four touchdown passes this season and rushed for a season-high 107 yards.

“I think he’s going to be fine, but I don’t know if he’ll be ready to go when the game’s over,” Browns coach Mike Pettine said.

“We’ll see how the guys feel.”

Bradson started the Browns’ first two games of the season but was benched on Oct. 9 after throwing two interceptions in the Browns loss to Washington.

In Week 1 against the Colts, Bradford went 10-of-18 for 127 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

He finished with three sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

He also rushed for two touchdowns.

During the Browns season-opening loss to the Redskins, Bradford threw three interceptions.

After the Browns were beaten in Washington, Bradford was fined $5,000 by the league for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Pettine said he hoped to have Bradford back for Sunday’s contest.

“I hope so,” he said.
