Which NFL team would win a title?

The Northwestern Wolverines are one of four schools to qualify for the College Football Playoff, and a rematch between the Wolverines and the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes is on the cards.

With Ohio State down to its last remaining unbeaten season, the Wolverine defense has been one of the top units in the nation, allowing just 24.3 points per game over its last three games.

Ohio State also ranks as the nation’s No. 1 defense, giving the Buckeyes the No. 2 scoring defense in the country and second-best scoring defense of any team in the last 10 years behind only Alabama.

On Saturday, the Ohio State defense faces a team that has allowed the fewest points in the entire nation over the last three seasons, averaging 24.2 points per contest.

The Wolverines defense has also been solid in close games, holding opponents to under 50 points for the fourth time in five years, and has allowed only 24.4 points per games over that span.

While the Buckeye offense may have been able to take advantage of the defense to score the most points in its last four games, the Buckies defense has given up just 27.4 in that span and allowed just 41.8 points per outing.

The Buckeyes offense also hasn’t been able as much as the Wolverens, allowing 21.4 per game to opponents.

The Ohio State offense has been even more effective in close contests, as they are averaging 36.3 rushing yards per game.

Ohio, which leads the nation in rushing, is also second in the conference in rushing offense.
